Once again, we are taking part in the West Central Illinois Dirt
Oval Point Series. This series consists of 4 races
at 4 different locations.

- Any 6 cell NiMh up to 5000 mah. Any 2 cell Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) up to 6000 mah. NiCd or NiMh are legal in
all classes.

- Practice starts at 3:00 p.m.
- Tech at 5:00 p.m.
- RACES WILL START AT 6:00 P.M. - SHARP!
Race directors will have ultimate authority over rules enforcement. The primary basis for any rules decision must be based on what will be best for the majority of racers. If an item is not addressed in the rules listed here then you should assume it is not legal.
Mod Sprint Car (electric)
Must have scale appearing cage, hood, side panels, nerf bars and bumpers. Minimum of a 4 post cage required that resembles a drivers cockpit. A driver arm guard area is permitted on right side panel bust must be of reasonable size. All electronics, radio gear, fuel tanks must be positioned inside the cage side frames. Rear cage side panels may be used but may not extend beyond rear cage frame. No lexan or any other material may be mounted to nerf bars, bumpers, cage, wing or any other part of the car that will trap, alter, or direct air flow for the purpose of gaining an aerodynamic advantage. Must have appropriate openings on both sides of cage in driver compartment, forward portion of side panels can be no taller than highest point of hood, no solid side panels.

- Minimum vertical gap from top of hood to front cage crossbar: .750"

7x7 Wings
Center section and side panels must be made from at least 3 separate pieces of polycarbonate, carbon or aluminum material. All corners and edges must be rounded and free of sharp edges. Main and Front wings must be mounted so that they are centered on cage, no offset wings. Wing center sections must have all 4 corners set at 90 degree angles, no canted or angled panels. Wings must also be mounted level from side to side. Center section of wing may not extend beyond leading or trailing edge of side panels. Side panels must have braces that hold side panel rigid at 90deg. to center section during race conditions. Two braces are required from top of the center foil to the left sideboard and one brace is permitted below the center foil to the right side board. Braces can be a maximum of .750" wide and front edge of front brace must be no more than 1.5” back from side panel leading edge. Side Panels may have front, back, top and bottom turnouts of no more than .375" and are included in max dimension. FLAT FOILCENTER SECTIONS ONLY! .250” turndown at the leading edge. NO ADD-ONS OF ANY KIND!

Bodies may have the front windshield and back glass cut out and lexan can be added to the inside to creat a tunnel effect.
Rear Spoilers are allowed (See DIRTOVAL.COM Late Model Rules for drawing and demensions).
Separate roof sections have to be in their intended position. All wheel wells must be cut out and all wheels must fit under body.

MDM
MIDWEST DIRT MODIFIEDS
CHASSIS : Must be a STOCK 2wd buggy chassis. Associated, Losi, Kyosho, etc.
NO AFTER MARKET PARTS. Manufacture upgrades only for that
specific buggy. RPM ball cups or Rod Ends will be allowed. No MIXING of parts. B4 must be B4, Losi must be Losi, etc. Must run rear shocks on rear, fronts on front. NO lightning of chassis. Battery must be in center. Weight must be inside of chassis. Cannot be mounted outside of chassis. No adding weight to A Arms. No drilling or grinding to alter wheelbase or front and rear toe. Wheelbase, rear and front wheel widths must be stock. No truck A Arms or center pans. Any springs can be used. No slipper eliminators. REMEMBER 2 WD STOCK BUGGY CHASSIS
MOTORS: MAMBA MAX 5700 system, MAMBA SIDEWINDER 5700 system, Dynamite C4 motor ( It is a Mamba 5700 )or smaller MAMBA systems and
NOVAK 7.5 system or smaller. (This is a starting point to see what compares with what. May change)
BATTERIES: Any LIPO or NMH. Lipo cutoff not needed but would be smart to have.
TIRES & WHEELS: Must be out of the package buggy tires and wheels. No truck tires and wheels. No sectioning or splicing of rear and front tires and wheels
BODIES: NO floppers at all. Center section must be a McAllister Syracuse EDM.
McAllister’s #200 Syracuse EDM body kit is legal. We also have 3 styles to choose from. I will post diagrams of them when I get them drawn. MAX length of body is 14 ½ in. ROOF area is 5 ½ x 5 ½ plus 1/4 in wicker downward in front and 1/2 in. wicker on rear. NO off setting of roof, must be centered in width of body. Side windows, A pillars and rear sail panels must connect to side panels and entire roof. No vertical sail panels off side panels. NO side dams. 1/2 in wicker can be added to center section spoiler. 1/4 wicker around the bottom edge of bodies max. Max. of 6 in. from center of rear axle to rear of body. Side windows cannot be cut out. NO drilling of body panels to let air in. Front bumper allowed 4 1/4 wide 2 in. out from front of chassis and must be level. No metal bumpers. Front spoiler allowed, 4 x 2 1/2 plus 1/4 in wicker at top. If building own body, 0.30 or thicker Lexan must be used. Front of body cannot extend out over the front tires.
